Feature Enhancements
Editorial/Production
• ID 427193 - Flix will now warn the user prior to starting a publish if they have insufficient permissions to write to the Publish Directory.
Bug Fixes
Editorial/Production
• ID 429514 - Some clips would randomly appear as offline in Avid or Premiere, despite being published for the first time.
• ID 427537 - Panel names in the Editorial email notifications now follow the naming convention set for the Editorial Clip Name preference.
• ID 422793 - Email notifications would sometimes be sent before the AAFs were fully copied to the publish directory.
• ID 416213 - Using Hold First Frame from Premiere wouldn't version up panels with updated camera moves.
• ID 416087 - "Effects & New Clips" dropdown option would say "Hold Middle Frame", wrongly reflecting the actual behavior of holding the first frame.
• ID 427092 - HTML codes would sometimes appear in Flix's exported dialogue text file, for example when dialogue was copy/pasted from an HTML or PDF document.
Story/Production
• ID 424141 - Ctrl/Cmd+A now only selects the visible panels, when used with Panel Filters toggled on.
• ID 426480 - Revisioning a Master image in Photoshop would create a new one instead of versioning up the existing one.
Under the Hood
• ID 426133 - Some tasks weren't distributed equally across all servers, resulting in some processes such as imports not happening as quickly as they could, on multi-server deployments.
• ID 427916 - Changing the name attribute of an LDAP group in the Flix Server config would not sync the group name in Flix after a user login.
• ID 429561 - LDAP username would use the 'uid', instead of the 'user_attr' property set in Flix Server's configuration.
• ID 428031 - User feedback during the asset migration required for the Flix 6.3 upgrade has been improved.
• ID 427205 - Logs around retrieving LDAP groups and assigning users to them have been improved.
• ID 429430 - Superfluous failed chunk transfers would flood the server logs with error messages. These have been bumped down to trace level.
• ID 423570 - Logs around SMTP-related errors have been improved.
